Helmets on Kids

Safe cycling starts with a safe helmet

"Helmets on Kids" is an initiative which was started by the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association in London, Ontario in 2002. The goal of the project is to donate bicycle helmets and to promote education and awareness on proper bicycle helmet use. The program began in Peel Region in 2008 with Pace Law Firm purchasing the first 500 helmets.

The 2009 Peel "Helmets on Kids" program kicked-off at Brandon Gate Public School in Malton on June 18, 2009. The partner organizations are BIAPH, Peel District School Board, Pace Law Firm, Peel Children's Safety Village, Peel Regional Police and the Region of Peel Health Department. Pace Law Firm has again purchased 500 helmets for this campaign.
